Fødevarebanken ("The Food Bank") is a Danish non-profit organisation which fights food waste and poverty. Every day, an enormous amount of safe and edible food is wasted in supermarkets around the country. Fødevarebanken aims to stop the waste and distributes food to people in need. In 2015, 651 tonnes of food - the equivalent of more the 1,5 million meals - were handled by the organisation.
